Operating out of the Harbour Quay Marina in Port Alberni, SilverFox Marine Charters offers multi-day marine adventure charters on the coastal waters of beautiful Vancouver Island, BC. Join us as we travel into Barkley Sound to enjoy nature at its finest, with fantastic wildlife viewing and photo opportunities of whales, sealions, bears and eagles.

Our multi-day marine adventure charters, give you the luxury of living aboard the vessel, with the advantage of being able to move to different locations through out Barkley Sound. During our multi day adventures, you will have the opportunity to fish for a variety of species including Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, Red Snapper, Prawns and Crab. You will walk the boardwalk of the coastal fishing village of Bamfield and explore beautiful Brady’s beach. You will share in the history and culture of the Huu-ay-aht’s by participating in the Kiixin cultural tour, visiting the only known remaining complete traditional first nations village on the southern BC coast. Providing a true west coast experience, we will explore the sandy beaches of the Broken Group Islands, which consists of over 100 islands, islets and rocky outcrops scattered in the sheltered waters of Barkley Sound.

SilverFox Marine Charters Ltd. Is owned and operated by Paul Barnes. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Paul has always been passionate about the outdoors with a keen interest in being on the water. Paul first travelled down the Alberni Canal and into Barkley Sound back in 1990 and was facinated with the marine life and scenary. Paul has experienced the BC coast working as a commercial diver in the aquaculture industry and believes Barkley Sound is one of the most beautiful places coastal Vancouver Island, British Columbia has to offer. Paul is passionate about our coastal environment and history and looks forward to sharing with you an experience that will not be soon forgotten.
