choice of cereal, hot or cold. Fresh Fruit. Coffee/Tea/Milk/Juices,
Home style baked bread ( unsliced). Ian's Famous (Low Fat) Danish
Pastries. Also available: Full English Breakfast. bacon/eggs etc*.
*Note: On fishing trips there is no better
time to put a rod in the water than first thing, so the skipper is
usually busy guiding and leaves you to make your own breakfast. The
diesel stove makes an excellent toaster and the smell of fresh coffee
and our special baked bread toasting on top of the stove gives
everyone a great start in the morning.
Our Legendary Lunch Rail:
(Buffet) Your choice of a selection
of cold cuts: ham/beef/chicken/salmon/egg/ Montreal Corned Beef/
Pastrami/ Beer Sausage. Potato Salad. Our Specially Baked Bread
(Unsliced), Cheese. Pickles/, lettuce/ tomatoes, condiments and
dressings. You'll find this one of the best lunch buffets on the
coast. Unique to have on a charter fishing boat! . Beverages on
board: Coffee Tea Milk and Juices. Also Available: Hot Soup/ Fresh
caught seafood.
Dinner: Our
dinner menu, like our lunch menu, has a wide variety and covers all
tastes. We are used to feeding loggers so it is mainly a "Meat and
Potato" style meal and the helpings are generous and at times
onerous!! The main course changes every day and helps us supply our
lunch rail with freshly cooked cold cuts. We feature three course
meals every evening and they range from barbecued items such as Baby
Back Ribs ( Alder Smoked- Snuggles Style) to Roast Beef, with Mashed
Potatoes and Gravy, Chicken, Pork, Salmon, Halibut etc. We like to
surprise you with something new, each day. We always have an
appetizing salad and we try to vary that a bit every day. Most of our
clients prefer our "Nut and Bolt" green salad. You'll find everything
in there but a nut and a bolt, but don't look too closely because
occasionally there is a nut or a bolt in there!! Our desserts also
vary from day to day. Let us surprise you with each one. You will be
truly amazed at the variety of food on board.
Professionally Prepared
If you click on ("Meet
the Captain") you will see that for a period of his life,
Ian cooked professionally in his pub-restaurant
"Snuggles". This was an upscale
restaurant in Port Hardy during the 80's and featured Vancouver
Island's first dinner theatre troupe. It was "the place" to take your
spouse or your visiting friends in Port Hardy. In addition to cooking
at Snuggles he also created and operated "The Roadhouse." This was a
popular truck stop restaurant that used to be at the Pioneer Inn. He
finds it a lot easier to cook for five people every night on the
Silver Fox than the crowds he used to cook for at Snuggles on a busy
Saturday night in the old days. You get a fantastic ocean view from
the dining table on the Silver Fox and when at anchor, it
revolves about once an hour at no charge for a window
seat.
