Running forest workers around the inlets and
waters near Port Hardy was actually how we got started with the
Silver Fox in 1984. We have worked for several private
logging companies and contracted to the B.C.Forest Services ( Port
McNeill) from 1986 to 1998. The Silver Fox provides
comfortable quarters for four persons and as always, our food is
"bar none." Our vessel meets or exceeds the requirements of WCB
for safety inspection.- (C.S.I.) Canada Transport Ship's Safety
Department. Both of our skippers have certification to operate
it. We are fully insured to do this type of work. We have
an excellent all welded aluminum workboat (skiff) for loading or
unloading ATV's or personnel from the shore. Our skippers
understand the needs of the forest workers and have a wealth of
knowledge of the areas north of Kelsey Bay and South of Bella
Coola. Due to the ever growing year in advance bookings for the
sports fishing, eco trip side of our operation and other
commitments the Silver Fox is only available in April -
May or Sept and October for forest related work.
